Audrey Inouye is a Monash-trained IBS Specialist Dietitian and co-author of The 28-Day Plan for IBS Relief: 100 Low FODMAP Recipes to Soothe the Symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.   Audrey thrives on helping people like you resolve your digestive symptoms so you can enjoy the widest variety of food again.  Having worked in the field of IBS for many years, Audrey is a FODMAP advisor for Spoonful, a FODMAP scanning app and A Little Bit Yummy.

Outside of work, Audrey is a mom to three active boys with voracious appetites.  She loves making deliciously healthy meals to keep everyone’s bellies happy.  Audrey stays active doing whatever she needs to keep up with her active family including biking, wakeboarding, surfing, or working out at the gym.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is characterized by a variety of symptoms, including cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea or constipation, or both. IBS is a chronic condition that you’ll need to manage long term. The cause is not well understood.

There is no definitive test to diagnose IBS. IBS is diagnosed after your doctor has reviewed your symptoms and occasionally ordered tests to rule out other conditions.
