What makes us different in IBS care?
Food
We won’t take food away from you forever. Our long-term goal is to make sure that you get to eat the foods you love without feeling restricted. We want to identify your food triggers and develop an individualized plan to manage your IBS symptoms.
Team
We work with gastroenterologists and family doctors to optimize treatment. Our greatest compliment is the many referrals made by physicians and other allied health professions (Naturopathic Doctors, Chiropractors, Dietitians, Psychologists, Psychotherapists) for their IBS patients. We work with our founding gastroenterologists to ensure that we are up to date on the latest evidence based approaches to IBS care. Our entire team is dedicated to IBS care and IBS care only. Every member has gut – directed training. Some of us even have IBS ourselves. We work as a team—-Our team consists of Naturopathic Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Dietitians, and therapists all with a focus on IBS and with the oversight of our founding gastroenterologists. We only treat IBS at The Tummy Clinic.
Virtual
We’re virtual. You can see us from the comfort of your home! As long as you are in Ontario, you can book a virtual appointment and we can serve your needs including writing lab requisitions, prescribing/renewing IBS medications and supplements.
Healthcare Coverage & Referrals
No Referrals needed. Many of our patients are referred to us directly from their medical doctors or their gastroenterologists but no referral is needed! Many of our services are covered by extended healthcare.
Integrated Care
We’re here for you, supporting your IBS management every step of the way. We will support you with your diet, supplements, medications and lifestyle changes. We’re here to answer your questions and provide all the resources to help you feel better.
