Colleen Miller
Dietitian
Colleen Miller is a registered dietitian and gut health enthusiast.
After completing her graduate degree at TMU (formerly Ryerson), she went on to do a dietetic internship at North York General Hospital. She then stayed on for a few years working as a clinical dietitian in the beginning of her career. Here she gained clinical experience in the hospital setting working with patients living with cancer, undergoing surgery, struggling with gastrointestinal disorders and/or facing other acute health issues. This setting is where she realized there was a huge gap for patients living with gastrointestinal issues – support in hospital isn’t great, nor is it available at the time when most patients need it.
Interested to change that, Colleen went on to begin to work with clients privately in 2014. Digestive health has been the main area of focus for her work over the years supporting clients with functional GI issues, food allergies, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, concerns arising from surgery or disease such as bowel cancer, diverticulitis and more. She was an early embracer of the low FODMAP, completing the Monash Low FODMAP Dietitian Course in 2019. Over the years, she’s helped many clients optimize their diet recognizing how this can contribute to reduced food fears and an overall improved quality of life.
